Originally from Texas, Emily received her Masters of Social Work from Texas A&M University-Commerce and her Bachelors of Science in Psychology from the University of Texas-Dallas. Through a military moves with her Army pilot husband, Emily now calls Georgia and the Gulf Coast of Florida home, working as a Executive Function Coach, Certified Master Social Worker, and pre-licensed Registered Clinical Social Work Intern.
Emily specializes in mental fitness to help grow, develop, and boost attention, concentration, and learning helping children, teens, and adults with their symptoms of ADHD. She utilizes evidence-based Cognitive Working Memory Training (CWMT) via a digital therapy program, Cogmed, that helps improve attention, working memory, and executive functioning. Specifically, Emily’s Executive Function Coaching focuses on working memory (holding and managing information to problem-solve), thinking flexibility (switching mental gears in different situations), and self-control (filtering distractions and thinking before acting). She works closely with individuals and families to help expand self-confidence and improve performance in academic, professional, and personal arenas.
In her free time, Emily enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading mystery novels, relaxing at the beach, and going on walks.
