Dr. Dougherty was born and raised in the Midwest. In 2004, she obtained her master’s degree in clinical psychology and her doctorate degree (Psy.D.) in 2006. Since that time, she has worked in a variety of settings, including acute psychiatric hospitalization, an adolescent residential facility, community mental health, private practice, public and parochial schools, and long-term care facilities. For the last several years, she has primarily focused on psychological evaluations and testing transitioning from evaluations of children in state custody and parental capacity evaluations. Currently she focuses on evaluations for diagnostic clarity along with compensation and pension examinations for military veterans. Dr. Dougherty actively supports accessible mental health care services and to this end, she is readily and exclusively available to her patients through her telehealth platform, ensuring that they receive the support they need from the comfort and safety of their own homes.
In her free time, Dr. Dougherty enjoys reading, spending time with family and friends, boating, and walking her dog.
