Dr. Marie DeFeo is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who provides thoughtful, compassionate care for adults, adolescents, and children. She specializes in forensic and mental health treatment and brings a strong clinical foundation to her work with patients and families navigating complex emotional, behavioral, and life challenges. Dr. DeFeo completed both her Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) and master’s degrees in Psychology at Albizu University in Miami, Florida, and earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice from Florida International University.
Throughout her career, Dr. DeFeo has developed broad experience across clinical practice, forensic services, clinical supervision, and consulting. She approaches her work with professionalism, warmth, and a deep respect for each person’s individual story. Dr. DeFeo is especially committed to working with diverse and culturally varied populations, and she strives to provide care that is inclusive, responsive, and grounded in cultural humility. Having lived abroad for a significant period of time, she brings a meaningful appreciation for different cultures, perspectives, and life experiences, which helps her connect with patients from a wide range of backgrounds.
Dr. DeFeo believes that effective mental health care begins with building trust and creating a safe, respectful space where patients feel heard and supported. Her telehealth practice allows her to provide accessible and consistent care while meeting patients where they are. She is exclusively available through telehealth, offering a flexible option for individuals and families seeking quality psychological services in a comfortable and convenient setting.
Outside of her professional work, Dr. DeFeo enjoys spending time with her two adult children and her rescue dog. She continues to travel overseas and values sharing the beauty, history, and richness of other cultures with her children, helping them experience the wonders of the world with curiosity and appreciation.
