Carson Gonzalez, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Carson is a graduate of the joint Master of Social Work program offered by North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She is licensed as a Clinical Social Worker in both Florida and North Carolina and currently provides care to a diverse population across the state of Florida via telehealth, in addition to specific in-person availability. As a military spouse, she and her young family have experienced numerous relocations around the country and are now happily settled into the beautiful Florida Panhandle region.
Carson specializes in psychotherapy with adults and teens (16+), focusing on navigating trauma, relationship struggles, significant life transitions, and addressing the anxiety and depression that often accompany challenging and tumultuous times in one’s life. She possesses extensive experience in various clinical settings, with particular expertise in trauma-informed counseling, conducting psychosocial assessments, working with hospice and palliative patients, offering grief support, and implementing strengths-based treatment approaches. Carson is fluent in both Spanish and English, which greatly enhances communication and facilitates a more comfortable, natural environment for her patients to express their feelings and thoughts, ultimately fostering a sense of comfort and trust in the therapeutic relationship.
In addition to her professional commitments, Carson has a wide array of interests and leisure pursuits. She has been actively involved in dance classes since the age of two and began teaching dance classes in college. She has also trained for and run five marathons, demonstrating a consistent desire for new challenges and personal growth in both her personal and professional life.
