Licensed Clinical Social Worker
** Clinicians are Independent Contracted Providers**
Have you ever wondered how you are going to get through something that feels so overwhelming, feeling unsure of even where to start to get things back on track? Life often poses what feels like roadblocks, instead of road bumps. The power of therapy helps us navigate the uncertainties, while encouraging and experiencing personal growth. Katie trusts in the therapeutic process that encourages client growth created from an accepting and collaborative experience in the client-therapist relationship.
Katie received her Master of Social Work Degree with an emphasis in Clinical Social Work from Florida State University. She utilizes trauma informed approaches with children, teenagers, and adults. She is an EMDR Level II trained therapist and uses this, as well as many other evidenced-based interventions, to assist her patients in overcoming their life challenges. Katie’s current and past work has focused on adolescents and adults impacted by trauma, family conflict, dysfunction, anxiety, depression, school challenges, and many other adjustment issues.
Katie has strong connections and deep roots to our community having grown up locally. When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, boisterous toddler, their four fur babies, and her friends. She and her family love to enjoy the beautiful Gulf Coast, visit the mountains, and spend time caring for and comforting animals at local animal shelters.
